Success through audio editing requires proper investment

It is not about money always

My last two posts about the Dunning-Kruger Effect and different stages for voiceover got more attention than average. I am getting more queries about those, and that has resulted in more sales in my shop

Why did these 2 posts result in more sales and get more attention than average? They showed people how flawed their investment policy was.

I am not a financial expert, and I am not discussing financial matters. I am talking about investing in audio editing.

Different people have different goals regarding audio editing. Some want to earn handsome money through voice-over jobs, whereas others may do it as a hobby.

Regardless of your end goal, you need a professional-quality voice-over. The higher the monetary value of your voice-over, the better its quality must be.

By monetary value, I mean earning more money in voice-over jobs or using your audio to reach more people (audiobooks, podcasts, content creation, etc.).

Like a good investment yielding more profit, you must invest properly in audio quality. This investment includes audio gear (microphone, audio interface), room treatment (acoustic foams, blankets), audio editing software, and, more importantly, audio editing skills.

It doesn’t matter how fast a car you have unless you know how to drive (or can hire someone else to be your driver).

That’s the message I tried to convey in the posts I mentioned at the beginning of this post.

I wrote a post about egg first or chicken first paradox in voice-over. You can read that here: https://blog.master-editor.com/p/egg-first-chicken-first-paradox-voice

You already know that you are only as good as you can showcase regarding skill-related work. Voice Over is a skill-related work.

If you can’t be up to the mark, you can’t hope for something better automatically. When you become better, opportunities will appear in front of you.

Until then, it will be a game of guessing and losing. To help you better prepare to win, my best service is Premium Consulting.

Everyone I served through this service has either reached their target or is in a better position to reach it (e.g., getting more voice-over jobs, getting more auditions, completing audiobooks, or being close to it).

It costs $497 for six one-on-one video calls (each one hour long). I believe the price is related to success. Anyone who invests this $497 is serious about their work, does the necessary things, and ultimately wins.
