Think of audio editing as moving to a new place
If you move to a new place or go to a new place for vacation, how do you navigate around? You can use the same strategy to fix your audio learning issues.
When you are new to a place, you navigate around using Google Maps or you ask people for directions. You do this couple of times to go from point A to point B.
After that, the route becomes automatic to you. You do not need to ask for directions for that route anymore. Even better, you can easily navigate around adjacent places on your own.
Audio editing skill requires the same strategy. You ask for help at the beginning or on matters you don’t know. You do it in the form of tutorial videos, courses, and training.
Once you do it, it becomes second nature. However, if you do not do it, you remain in the same place. Your skills don’t grow, and you remain unconfident.
Same as if you ask for directions but never explore those areas. In Audio editing, I solved this issue for you in the form of assignments.
I have a separate set of assignments for audiobook narration and voice-over. The assignments are easy to do and step-by-step.
It will feel like tiny steps at a time, but at the end of it, you will see you reached your destination. You will feel confident as it is full of practical work you will encounter in your real work.
The assignments are available both in Audacity and Adobe Audition. You can choose which software you want to use.
On top of that, you can submit the assignments until you get it right. There are no time limits or deadlines to submit, so it is the most flexible solution to enhance your skills.
