The best learning materials for Adobe Audition

Audacity vs. Adobe Audition Series - Part 4

After my last series about Audacity vs. Adobe Audition, my audience showed a growing interest in Adobe Audition.

Undoubtedly, Adobe Audition is the best option for generic voice recording and editing. By generic voice editing, I mean professional voice-over, audiobook narration, podcasts, and content creation voice-over, which fall into this category.

However, Adobe Audition is not the easiest software to learn. I will point you to some learning materials for a better learning experience with Adobe Audition.

If you are genuinely invested in Audio editing, you can take one of the following strategies:

  1. If you started with Audacity, learn it first and move to Adobe Audition after making some progress

  2. If you start with Adobe Audition, make extra effort to become comfortable with the interface. Then it will become easy.

Now, what are the best learning resources for Adobe Audition? The best learning resources are on the Adobe Audition Website: https://www.adobe.com/learn/audition

The above link provides many articles and video tutorials on different use cases. The tutorials are from Adobe itself. If you go through them, your audio editing skills will improve greatly.

However, those tutorials are suited for people somewhat familiar with audio editing.

If your audio editing experience is not yet at that level, the Adobe Audition Bundle can be a good point to start.

I have packaged 3 things in the Adobe Audition Bundle, and there is a reason behind putting the 3 things together.

The things in the Bundle are:

  1. Adobe Audition Course

  2. 5 Presets to make your sound better in a few clicks

  3. A custom and professional EQ personalized to your voice only

Using all 3 things together makes the learning experience smoother and fun.

By taking the Adobe Audition course, you will get a step-by-step direction on what to do and how to do it. After completing the course, you will be comfortable using Adobe Audition and will be able to make your voice better and cleaner.

However, it may take some time to learn all the audio processing techniques suitable for different needs. For example, sometimes you want clear and crisp audio, whereas other times you want rich and full-sounding audio.

If you are into professional voice-over, you would also like to process your recording to sound cinematic or movie trailer-like.

The 5 Presets allow you to do so without learning complex processing first. Use presets to get the sound you like with just a few clicks.

Those presets are also great for learning because you can see how I have configured each effect in a preset. You will learn how to configure effects for clean, crisp, rich, or cinematic voices.

But things won’t end there. No one setting works for every voice. If it had worked, there would not be so many different tutorials on audio editing. You would have followed an exact path, and your audio would have sounded amazing.

But that’s not the case. Every voice is different and needs different kinds of tuning processing to get the best out of it.

Even the same voice would require different processing if recorded in a different microphone or room.

To assist you with that, I will also create a customized EQ and Preset for your voice recording. If you get the Adobe Audition Bundle, you will send me your voice recording, and I will create a custom EQ and preset just for you.

A similar Preset generally costs around $300 - $500. However, with the Adobe Audition Bundle, you can get a significant discount, and everything will cost only $197.
