Set Up Your Voice-Over Profiles the Right Way

No one can know what is inside of you—what you are capable of. Others can only understand once you communicate with them clearly.

In voice-over, that communication primarily happens through the profiles you create across platforms where your potential clients are looking.

Always remember: in the online space, nothing happens automatically. Your effort to become visible defines your destiny. It’s up to you to take control.

1. Where should you have profiles

Why these?

Because you only get jobs if people know you exist and believe you’re capable of delivering.

These websites do exactly that for you—they put your demos in front of casting directors and clients who are actively hiring.

2. Your own website (non-negotiable)

Having your own site changes how people perceive you. Without it, you look like a freelancer competing for scraps. With it, you look like a professional business.

But here’s the catch—I see many people throw together a site with their photo and a few demo reels they built years ago. If you do that, just know you’re wasting money.

Your website should feel like a visitor is having a conversation with you, even when you’re not there. It should make people confident that you can deliver the exact sound they’re looking for.

The good news? Building a proper site is easy today with drag-and-drop builders and a few clicks. If you’re a VIP Access Member, I’ll share tips on how to design it so it actually wins you work.

3. Demos (20–30 minimum)

You should have 20–30 demos showing your acting skills across different topics and tones.

Why so many?

  • More demos = more matches: When clients look for something very specific, the more demos you have, the better chance you’ll match their expectations.

  • Skill building: Each demo you create improves your editing and performance ability.

  • Perception: With only 5 demos, your profile feels generic. People assume you’re not capable of producing that kind of audio on your own. With 20+, you look versatile and reliable.

It may sound like a lot of work, but in reality, it isn’t. If you can make 1 demo, you can make 30. And if your goal is to win jobs and earn serious money, producing demos and auditions is a skill you need to master.

👉 And if you’d rather shortcut the process, I also offer professionally produced demo reels that showcase your voice with industry-level polish: Voice Over Demo Reels.
