Does your audio quality depend on the software you use?

The answer is both yes and no. That may sound confusing, but let me explain.

Your raw recording quality doesn’t depend on the software. If you record in Audacity, Adobe Audition, or anything else, the raw file will sound the same, as long as you’re using the same mic and setup.

Where software does make a difference is in post-processing. Some effects (like Normalize) work the same everywhere. But others (like Noise Reduction or EQ) vary between programs.

Those differences can add up, especially if you’re competing for voice-over work or aiming for professional audiobook standards.

Another key factor is workflow. Some software makes it easier and faster to get things done. Over time, that’s just as important as the sound itself.

That’s why many professionals rely on the combination of Adobe Audition and iZotope RX—it gives you both quality and efficiency.

Keeping that in mind, I’ve designed my next two workshops:

💡 Early-bird offer: The first few seats are only $49. After that, the price goes up to the regular $97.

Both include replay access for 1 year.

Best,
Akhtar

P.S. The first workshop is on Adobe Audition, suited both for beginners and experienced: https://www.patreon.com/posts/adobe-audition-z-138641581
