Audacity 4 (Alpha) has officially been released!

“Alpha” means it’s functional, but still limited in features — and currently available only to a small group of testers. However, the Audacity team released it to the public.

The next stage will be Beta, which should include most of the planned features but still won’t be fully production-ready.

Then comes the production release, which will be the stable public version.

I’ve already downloaded and tested the Alpha, and honestly, it’s looking really nice so far. The Audacity team is doing a great job keeping the interface familiar while improving usability.

They’ve made sure the layout won’t drastically change in upcoming releases — so whatever you learn now will still apply later.

In short, Audacity 4 is shaping up to be a much more stable, modern, and reliable version.

Because of that, I’ve started building a brand-new course around it:
👉 Audacity 4 Course for Beginners

This course will walk you through the core features available right now — recording, editing, and processing — in a clear, beginner-friendly way.

During the pre-order phase, you’ll also get some exclusive bonuses to help you get clean and professional audio faster:

  • A 1-hour 1-on-1 call with me

  • A personal recording analysis to pinpoint what’s holding your audio back

Pre-Order Price: $97
(Regular price after release: $197)

The bonuses are only available during this pre-order period, so if you’ve been curious about what’s new in Audacity 4, this is your chance to get in early.
